AAUW-OML: October 13, California Propositions Nonpartisan Pros & Cons
This November's California ballot is one of the largest in years: 14 statewide propositions touching on issues as contentious as voter ID requirements, the billionaire tax, and public financing of political campaigns.
Mark your calendars: on Tuesday, October 13 — about a week after ballots are mailed— the Orinda-Moraga-Lafayette branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW-OML) is hosting two League of Women Voters Diablo Valley speakers at Orinda Community Church, who will deliver a nonpartisan Pros & Cons presentation to help voters make sense of language that can often be hard to parse.
The program runs from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., with doors open at 9:30 a.m., at Orinda Community Church, Fellowship Hall, 10 Irwin Way, Orinda.
AAUW-OML is a California branch of AAUW, a national organization championing equity for women and girls since 1881.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
