LLLCF: Joyce Maynard

Join us for an intimate look at the career of Lafayette’s own Joyce Maynard. From capturing national attention at age 18 with her seminal New York Times cover story to her celebrated work as a journalist, NPR contributor, and performer for The Moth, Joyce has spent decades shaping the American literary landscape. Don't miss this unique opportunity as she discusses the art of storytelling, her novels, memoirs and her latest book, In Wonderland.

Joyce is the author of seventeen books, including the novel To Die For and the best-selling memoir, At Home in the World—translated into sixteen languages. Her novels, To Die For and Labor Day were adapted for films. She runs workshops in memoir at her home in Lafayette and in 2002 founded The Lake Atitlan Writing Workshop in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala, where she hosts a weeklong workshop in personal storytelling every winter.
